About Belinda "The foundation for happiness is to create a loving atmosphere". His holiness, The Dalai Lama. Belinda Mendoza is the CEO of Design For Energy, a design consulting firm specializing in Feng Shui. She is also a seasoned business developer with over 20 yrs. of successful sales and marketing experience. She is a former Regional Sales Manager of a highly successful medical device company. Belinda is trained in Black Hat Sect and Classical Feng Shui. She began her training in Black Hat Sect at the Omega Institute in New York with Nancy Santo Pietro and Ron Chin in 1996. She continued her studies with Professor Lin Yun (Founder of Black Hat Sect Feng Shui), based in Berkeley, CA. Her strong committment to the study led her to travel to China in 1996. She went on a study tour and trained with Feng Shui Master, Professor Wang Yu-De in China. The studies began in Wuhan China where the largest and oldest number of feng shui texts exist. Traveling to Bejing, Xian, Cheng Du, and other famous and sacred sites were a part of this memorable experience conducted by Australian Feng Shui Teachers, Roger Green and Howard Choy. This was the first time China opened up the study of feng shui to Westerners. Visiting the city of Hong Kong was exciting as the city and its architecture are designed according to feng shui principles. This was expertly taught by Feng Shui Master, Raymond Lo. Her most recent training is in the Integrative School of Feng Shui, taught by Elliot Tanzer, Master teacher and astrologer, who combines the knowledge of both schools for a more thorough and comprehensive approach. Belinda is passionate about her work and continues her studies. Since '95 she has obtained over 700 hours of training all over the US with many renowned teachers and has taught at over 350 locations. She is a member of the International Feng Shui Guild and was asked to be Southeast Regional Director for Int'l Feng Shui Guild in 2003. She is the current Austin Chapter President for the International Feng Shui Guild and the only certified feng shui practitioner in Austin who has trained in China. She currently teaches Feng Shui at Austin Community College Continuing Education Program. She is a native of San Antonio,Texas and holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Belinda worked in the medical device industry for over 20 years in field sales,marketing, corporate training, and executive management. She was a successful sales leader and only female executive for her company when she resigned to follow her dream of having her own business. She is certified as a Reiki Master and Teacher in USUI and KARUNA Reiki. This is the Japanese art of healing and balancing touch that reduces stress and increases energy in the body.
